Disaster recovery
How Atfenix prepares for, responds to and recovers from events that disrupt our facility or services.
Purpose
This page describes how Atfenix plans to keep infrastructure running, and to restore it, after a serious disruption such as a power failure, equipment fault, fire, network outage or loss of a site.
Resilience of the facility
We design our facility for continuity, with redundant power and cooling paths and diverse network connectivity so that a single failure does not normally interrupt service.
Response and recovery
When an incident occurs, our operations team follows a defined process:
- detect and confirm the incident through monitoring;
- assess the impact and assign an incident lead;
- contain the problem and restore service as quickly as is safe;
- keep affected customers informed of progress; and
- review the cause afterwards and act on what we learn.
Your data and backups
Unless a backup service is part of your agreement, you are responsible for backing up your own data and for your own application-level recovery plan. We recommend keeping copies of critical data away from the server that hosts it.
Recovery objectives for any service, if they apply, are set out in your service agreement.
Testing and review
We review and test our continuity arrangements periodically and update this plan as the facility and services change.
